City of Glass Review

Image
So I’ve just finished the third installment of ‘The Mortal Instrument’ series by Cassandra Clare, ‘City of Glass’ and WOW was it a great one. I swear this series keeps getting better and better and is quickly becoming one of the best book series I’ve ever read. So let’s get straight into talking about this book. Obviously, with this being the third novel in the series there is not much I can say without getting into spoilers so make sure you go and read ‘City of Bones’, ‘City of Ashes’ and ‘City of Glass’ before finishing this review. Did you know I also have reviews for those two books? Make sure you check them out if you haven’t already: City of Bones: https://thisismereviews.blogspot.co.uk/2017/07/lost-in-translation-mortal-instruments.html City of Ashes: https://thisismereviews.blogspot.co.uk/2017/07/the-mortal-instruments-city-of-ash.html SPOILER WARNING!!! ‘City of Glass’ picks up a week after the events of ‘City of Ashes’. The woman who revealed herself to be Madeline

RWBY Volume 5 Theories and Predictions

With Volume 5 just a few weeks away I thought I’d do something different for this week’s post and talk about some of my theories and predictions for Volume 5 and beyond. Of course, many of these theories are going to feature spoilers of things we’ve learnt in previous Volumes so make sure you’ve watched the first four Volumes. I also want to state that I am not saying my theories are true, You are entitled to your own opinion and predictions of what is going to happen in later Volumes. SPOILER WARNING!!! The first theory I want to talk about is not a new one, but it is a theory I think I have something to add to. That is the notion that Qrow is Ruby’s real father. When I first heard this theory I did not believe it as I could not understand why Qrow would leave his daughter if he had one. Given the information we received in Volume Four, however, about Qrow’s semblance, it seems perfectly plausible to me that he is her real dad. In the last Volume, we discovered that Qrow’

'War for the Planet of the Apes' Review

'War for the Planet of the Apes' is the last film in the trilogy telling the origin of the world of the 1968 'Planet of the Apes' film. It is impossible to talk about this franchise without first mentioning the CGI. 'Planet of The Apes' has come a long way even from the start of the trilogy in 2011. This was a stunning film to watch and one that I would actually recommend watching in 3D. Usually, I don't notice 3D in films much but this film did an excellent job with the effects 3D could bring it, although this started to fade later on. As this is the last film in the trilogy there is not much else to say without going into spoilers. I would highly recommend checking out the film and then come back and finish reading the rest of my review. SPOILER ALERT!!! The story picks off a few months after the events of the last film. Koba (Toby Kebbell), has successfully started a war between the humans and Caesar's (Andy Serkis) clan. The apes are in
